For proper understanding of the quran and deen of islam one will find ample help HERE and HERE. Islam is deen not mazhab. Mullaism preaches mazhab not deen of islam. It is because ummah listens to nonsense of mullahs they have brought themselves to ruins. All this is explained in detail for those who wish to know the truth as it is.

You cant restrict anyone to four school of thoughts, each individual can have his own believes on basis of Quran and Sunnah.

ok. this is what I see for myself.....I have lived in Pakistan, UAE, KSA and now Germany.......Pakistan mai Hanfi, UAE mai Shafai, KSA mai malki or Germnay mai what ever Turkish follow i guess its also shafai.....ab mai kiss ko follow keroon......? so I follow Hanfi, but Namaz I don't care leterally.......As once Imam Abu Haifa was passing from somwhere when the time of Namaz arrived, he went for the nearest mosque were they all were following Malki maslak....he performed the Namaz.....after that event all his followers criticized that how can you do this? he replied....k Imam Malik k jo martba hai, us ke nisbat un ka mujh pay itna haq tu banta hai k un k maslak k mutabiq namaaz ada karoon.....on a second event......once Imam abu Hanifa arrived at the school of Imam Malik......Imama malik asked Imama Hanifa to sit beseide him and said to his students that " do you know who is he?...he is Abu HAnifa......if he says that this stone piller is made of gold that no one in the world can prove hi otherwise....".........so literlllay I don't care when I go for namaz...but for all other matters I folllow Hanfi school of thought......but i make sure that I only follow Hanfi Maslak.....

Why is it difficult to say that follow Quran and Sunnah?

Sheikh's answer is quite diplomatic one

instead of propagating to stick to four schools of thought
we should propagate to be one and follow Quran and Sunnah

Noble Imams of those four schools of thought never wanted to create separate school of thought...instead their efforts were to get the ummah closer to Quran and Sunnah

accepting and respecting difference of opinion is required
whereas creating differences is crime

we should strive towards minimizing difference of opinion by calling towards Quran and Sunnah
