Musk is spending billions of dollars on his brainchild called the Starlink. When it starts to operate fully and is economically feasible to the masses then it will be the time for all the Telcos to say goodbye to their businesses or innovate heavily to remain relevant (which I think will be very difficult). It will be an equally big leap forward like we had seen in early 90s in the form of the internet.
