pak is not ready for E-voting..Our institutions like ECP and NADRA can be easily pressurized to do the electronic fraud and rig the e-voting machines which is far easier than rigging thru ballots

Same here. It is not the machine which NADRA chairman showed us few weeks ago.

This machine is better than nothing but it is not electronic voting, it just verifies the voter and fake vote can still be casted if ECP officials are involved in rigging.

It is a good step but I am not too impressed. Why can't you even cast your vote electronically. The only thing this machine is doing is making sure that no ineligible person can cast the vote. What if the person comes to vote multiple times, would the machine cry foul. Would the machine store the data of how many persons have seemed verification aka voted. Why not even vote through the machine.

Maybe this report from Dunya news is incomplete.

Then same is here brother, finger prints are saved in database as well and jiss ne game karni hai and data corrupt karna konsa muskil kaam hai, machine will be presented with finger and machine will accept it, software ke saath tu koi bhi game ho sakti hai,,,,,, either fool proof system ko ensure kiya jaye ya if or but hain tu phir let rigging be our fate.

This machine is verifying the vote with ID card and thumb and then printing the vote slip which can only be printed once. You cannot reprint or cast another vote once the original slip has been printed. That original slip is in the hand of voter and he can decide to vote anyone he likes to vote for.
I wonder how can somebody still cast fake votes??
Remember there might be more options available like the number of Voter slips generated and total number of votes cast should be equal.

same happens in india, some paper work some electronic but the rigging gets very difficult but no impossible.its not foolproof but much better than our traditional system.i have watched both demonstration and pak and indian are almost the same. they also use paper varification

nhi boss u are wrong.. India main koi paper use nhi hota... at least vote electronically cast hota hai.. look at this:

i have watched FULL VIDEO ON THIS BUT this machine is a bit different to the one that was in the video. "indian evm has flaws" was the name

ڈیٹا کم سے کم دو طرف سے چیک ہونا چاہیے. صرف الیکٹرانک ڈیٹا پر انحصار کرنا ٹھیک نہیں. دھاندلی دونو طرف سے نہیں ہو سکتنی. کتنے لوگ خرید سکیں گے یہ.جو ووٹر سلپ انگوٹھے کے نشان کے بعد نکلے گی. اس کو بنانا کوئی آسان کام نہیں ہو گا. اس پر بار کوڈ سیریل نمبر وغیرہ بھی ہو سکتا ہے. جو بندا انگوٹھا لگایے گا اسی کے نام کی سلپ نکلے گی اور اسی کے ہاتھ میں ہو گی . وو خود ووٹ ڈال کر باکس میں ڈال دے گا. اگر کوئی اس کے ووٹ کو پھاڑ کر پھینک دے تو پتا چل جائے گا کے ایک ووٹ کسی نے نکل لیا ہے جب مشین کے نمبرز ووٹ کی پرچی سے مختلف ہوں گے. مثال کے طور پر اگر مشین بتاے کے اس نے ہزار ووٹ کی سلیپس پرنٹ کی ہیں تو ٹوٹل ووٹ جو ڈالے ہیں ان کی تعداد بھی ہزار ہی ہونی چاہیے. اس طرح بوہت سرے تریکوں سے دھاندلی چیک کی جا سکتی ہے.

Cost would be big issue. I think it would billions of dollar if use every where in elections. Not to mention reliability issues with electronic devices.

Anything is better than the present system. It might have flaws but im sure with time those flaws can be removed. Nothing wrong in giving it a try.
