There are three reasons as to why PPP, MQM,PTI , JI even together cannot defeat PMLN and its allies ,
first reason is that none of these parties I.e PPP,MQM,PTI, want to precipitate new elections yet . PTI knows it will get serious challenge in KPK , JI is barely alive party , MQM wins by curious methods and PPP has lost considerable popularity in Sindh . Only PTI is in better form overall .
Second reason is that short of reelection , total national vote recount can be offered by Nawaz and except for PTI nobody is favoured by this , PPP ,MQM were trailing as mediators just to avoid this agreement between PMLN and PTI all along as this could result in PPP in third position . PTI in second by an understanding with PMLN . TUQ has been placed there just to sabotage such understanding between PTI and PMLN , and as a standby trouble maker in case Imran backs out . Today TUQ has received new tents .
Third reason is that because Pakistan has to have steady aid from outside to balance books and to get weapon systems from West in the form of loans , IMF loans , consortium aid and middleeastern aid and grants which are not small , so PM decision requires like army chief decision in recent years a node from outsiders , if Imran had this nod he would have been in , if Nawaz did not have their pleasure his effort to stay on would have expired by now . To please USA Iran lobby , Army cannot displease Sunni Arab lobby of funders .
I have mentioned potohar power lobby many times in my previous posts , what I wanted to avoid was name of Nisar specifically mentioned but this lobby is much bigger with military ,civil and agencies officers ..
After nuclearization of Pakistan the head of army and head of state has many stakeholders , such decisions cannot be done in trailers and on mikes .
Yes if PPP,MQM,PTI ,JI all honestly quit assembly then yes Nawaz will have to go too.
