Major cost factor is not solar panel but store of produced energy by solar panels.

Batteries are the main cost factor.

I think latest tech. batteries last maximum 4-5 years. A panel in average 15-20 years (depends on quality and manufacturer). In Pakistan available batteries in average last 2-3 years.

So it is the major problem, which makes solar energy expensive.

CSP is the future. The latest technology is using flat mirrors instead of curved mirrors(which are expensive). This technology makes cost of production same as with gas. It does NOT require batteries as it uses molten salt to store the heat. Europe will run fully by tapping on North Africa & ME solar energy by 2050 using this technology. The Nato countries carried out the Arab Spring to bring "popular" governments into these countries so the projects don't face public opposition. Syria is the last country that has to be toppled as it will connect saudi arabia to syria, turkey and into eastern europe. Morocca Spain power cable is already laid. A UG sea cable is laid currently between Tunisia (1st country where Arab Spring began) and Italy.
Tunisia alone will produce 2 GW of energy (Pak deserts can produce much more energy).

مجھے بھی نہیں لگتا کہ حکومت ایسے کنسنٹریٹڈ پلانٹ لگائے گی۔۔۔ مگر پھر بھی امید کی آخری کرن کو معدوم نہیں ہونا چاہیے۔

اصل مسئلہ یہ ہے کہ پاکستان میں ہمیں ہر صورت میں موجودہ پلانٹ تیل سے گیس یا پھر کوئلے پر تبدیل کرنے ہیں۔ مگر گیس اور کوئلے سے کہیں بہتر آپشن ہے سولر پر منتقلی، اور اسکے لیے یہ کنسنٹریٹڈ سولر پلانٹ سسٹم سب سے آئیڈیل ہیں۔

یہ ٹیکنالوجی آسان ہے اور ہمیں باہر کے ممالک کی طرف دیکھنے کی ضرورت بھی نہیں اور پاکستانی فرمیں ہی اس کام کو انجام دے سکتی ہیں۔

آجکل ایک روسی فرم ہمارے تیل کے پلانٹ کو کوئلے پر منتقل کر رہی ہے، مگر یہ کوئلہ ہمیں پھر سے درآمد کرنا پڑ رہا ہے۔
