Muddled thoughts

After a fruitless search on news channels and newspapers and facing difficulty in finding a sane and thought provoking article or some talk show that left me in deep despair and despondency I started this thread with the hope that it would evoke a sane and serious response.what depressed me most is that anchors of fame were discussing matters of great national interest like use of helicopter by our new PM and whether the cost of flying it would bankrupt the country and Anwar Majeed's son is bleeding from the rectum and maybe unable to live till the next hearing of the court.

While reading a foreign newspaper online an article caught my attention.It stated that with the advent of social media the of people reading books has declined significantly.In Pakistan reading books or anything serious has always been low and as of today there is no bookshop in Peshawar ONLY SCHOOL AND COLLEGE TEXT BOOKS ARE AVAILABLE. Is there no one in the whole of Pakistan who can try to correct this. In social media facebook users are pasting photographs of their outings to food outlets and other inane activities.

Sages of political parties are spouting wisdom and the biggest disappointment was professor Ahsan iqbal ,he has exposed himself and now I have more respect for a Bhand that this scum.A least a bhand is honest and does not pretend to be the son of Plato.Big and small difficulties we have to face in the march of nation building and unfortunately we have wasted a a larger of of our time.It is the of giving hope and positive thoughts. Has this soil become barren and is producing comedians and snake oil salesmen only.

Have we become a nation of self seekers and commission agents. CAN ANYONE GIVE A USEFUL SUGGESTION

Look brother, if you want to achieve something, either for self or for the nation, start with yourself and then use your work to attract others to join you.
Start an online library of you want. Of you can inspire one person to read and that person can inspire another, you job is done.
As Muslims you know that Allah doesn't care about results. He only cares about our intentions and our efforts.
Do your best and leave the rest to Allah.

A good read. Just use shorter sentences. Your diction is good but sentences are so long that by the time one ends the reader forgets where it all started.

Journalism should be understood before comments are given. in the sub-continent roots of journalism started from barbers. The barbershop was the source of information and the village barbers would gather information when visiting the chaudry and break news to the gaping yokels who would scratch their heads in bewildered wonder and mutter wah! wah! and hurry and spread the news among the village hicks.Unfortunately our 'muhtaram' newspersons have not risen above this level.take the example of big name of journalism Arif nizami all that he has done is discuss scandals of elopements divorces and midnight trysts.talat hussain, hamid mir, sarkari haajan asma shirazi are best examles.It is suggested that they should carry razors to shave armpits while gathering info and at least contribute to the hygiene of their sources
