But, I think Japanese firms are already there in Pakistan. Which firm they are talking about? If any big company does that, like take an example of Honda, then as per the news they will distroy the current production unit in India, then aquire a huge piece of land in Pakistan, them make the production unity again? That does not sound a good profitable business and we all know Japanese are not that stupid.

I thunk these are much reliable news source specially I am big fan of Dawn.

This news is encouraging as well...However, the other news posted on the front page of the forum is an interview by the Japanese Ambassador in Pakistan..That is legit as well. We can accomodate existing as well as new industry. The government in Islamabad is about to change and an interim government will come into power. Things have already started to look positive, seeing this opportunity and the fact that a toyota manager was killed in INdia and the stoppage of production due to several labor disputes with unions is urging japanese to move their factories to Pakistan.

Their is nothing surprising in this.. INvestment flows to countries that offer the most facilities to an investor. At one time it was India now its Pakistan...what goes around come around ...its that simple !(bigsmile)

Yes. They killed the Suzuki manager. But, it is no news here that any of major player is going to leave India as more n more auto giants are coming in India targetting hatchback and luxury segment. That is true that it would be great for Pakistan if more n more companies invest there. Globalization n concept of Global village is very important for progress.

Regarding the gov, it would be great if Mr. Imran will be a next PM of Pakistan. Acc to me, he is very open minded.
