Ahmadinejad car sparks foreign interest

Iranian President Ahmadinejad's 1977 Peugeot 504 is displayed at an exhibition of classic cars in Arvand Free Trade Zone in southwest Iran.
Eight countries have expressed interest in the purchase of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's car of 1977 vintage which has been put up for a charity auction.
Bidders from eight countries have named their price for the Iranian president's 33-year-old Peugeot 504, IRIB reported on its website on Thursday.
Head of Iran's Welfare Organization Ahmad Esfandiari said the car will be sold to the highest bidder and the money will go to a fund for the needy.
Ahmadinejad's car has been put on display at an exhibition of classic cars which opened in Arvand Free Trade Zone in southwestern province of Khuzestan on Wednesday.
It was previously announced that the white sedan has received a USD 1 million offer from an Arab country only a day after the car went under the hammer at a charity auction organized to raise money for a housing project. The project, known as the Mehr Housing Plan, is intended to provide affordable accommodation for low-income Iranian households.
President Ahmadinejad has arranged the auction in an effort to raise enough funds for building 60,000 houses for the disabled and low-income women who are providing for their families.
The Iranian president used to drive the white Peugeot 504 when he served as the mayor of Tehran before becoming president in 2005. The vehicle would be worth around $2,000 on the local market.

Certainly this simple car is sold for $2.40 million because of the great president and great man is going to spend these money on poor people.
After this news our president and PM may be thinking to sell their old cars and transfer the money out of Pakistan.

if both have same kind of old cars. and if the are really want to help poors they don't have sell anything only they bring their money back to country.
