1. First let me say that Ali Chisti was extremely inarticulate.

[TD]a) First, this is totally wrong to say that nobody immigrated from France. Many French went to Canada after WW2, since Canada already had a sizeable population of French people (Cultural similarity).
b) Has OMJ ever heard of the Marshall Plan???

First, I completely agree you have pointed to.
Second, I believe that OMJ is someone you has memorized a lot of facts but either does not have the imagination to look at them as a whole and analyze them or is too close minded that he cannot see the truth.
Third, OMJ said that he will glorify invaders as in today's Pakistan there are no indigenous people. All of us are descendants of these invaders.
Now here are my questions: One, when did this start to happen, according to history, even if we agree with OMJ's most absurd assumption, it started happening with the Aryans coming to India in 1600BC. So, since then invaders have been coming to India and then all sorts of invaders have come like: Arabs, Turks, Iranians, Afghans, Greeks, Central Asian Tribes, Mongols etc. So the question is that who should we all 180 million people consider as our ancestors?
Second, again agreeing with OMJ's idiotic assumption that there are no indigenous people in Pakistan, if invaders have been coming for almost 3500 years in India and mostly they came from the north of the sub-continent then who were they killing mostly, previous invaders who had already settled in India?
Third, if invaders were killing previous invaders then the most important question that we all need to ask is that when did our particular invaders came to India. Because if that came with the Arayns in 1600BC then all subsequent invaders killed my people. So why should I like them. If they came with the Arabs in the 8th Century then Afghans who invaded India several times after 800 AD they killed Arabs, so if you are an Arab descendant you should not like the Afghans. Who did Sher Shah Soori depose........The Mughals? When Nadir Shah invaded and sacked Delhi...who was he killing?
Fourth, this is the most important question, after how many centuries of living in a land can a people claim to be of that land, even if they were invaders? I can trace my last 20 generations from Punjab, so am an indigenous Punjabi or should I go further back and try to look for some ancestors who came to Punjab of the sub-continent with the Arabs or the turks?
Stupidity has no limits and OMJ proves it.
My last appeal is that it is this typical mentality that does not let us think as Pakistanis. If I am all the time thinking that I am from some other country and try to adopt its culture then how can I be loyal to the country I am living in?
Islam is our religion and believes in the concept of Ommah. But, unfortunately, in reality it has not happened. Ask OMJ to go to Saudi Arabia without a visa or a passport, ask him to buy a piece of land or business there without including a Saudi, ask him why there are 55 or so Muslim countries in the world and we need passports and visas to enter these countries?
We need to realize that if we dont own the land where we live then we will always have this identity crisis and we will never be good Pakistanis.
