Fauzia Wahab, a parliament member and aide to President Zardari, came out this week publicly defending Raymond Davis, an American hired-gun contracted by the US military or intelligence who spied in Pakistan under diplomatic disguise. Her pro-US government is desperate to release the spy under US pressure. But her in-laws are so disgusted with her, like most Pakistanis, that a 90-year-old relative of her late husband, Mr. Khaleel Siddiqi who resides in Canada, has publicly asked her to drop her former husbands name. Mr. Siddiqi posted this comment, along with his full name, age, email address and telephone number, at PressPakistan, an Internet group of Pakistani journalists. Fauzia Wahab is one of the most annoying and arrogant woman that you would like to watch on your TV. She bores you to death with her irrelevant defence of her point of view and disagreeing with others of almost on every point of discussion.

It is about time that this unpopular woman is ditched (as done by her in-laws) by her party and replaced by a more presentable and agreeable personality. I am always baffled by every PPP minister who appears on TV and defends and praises President Asif Ali Zaradri eligibility for the highest post in the land despite his notorious past. But I should agree that Fauzia Wahab must make President Zardari very proud of her loyalty to him.
