American universities and companies played a major part in the design of the orbiter.University of Colorado Boulder,Arizona State University and University of California Berkeley were the main contributors.I don't know what contribution came from UAE.This could be beneficial for Arabs if it inspires future generations to study STEM subjects.The problem for UAE is that its population too small to provide enough scientific manpower.

The hardest bit building the rocket which only Russia,America,China,Japan and EU countries are capable of.I can't imagine any Arab country building powerful rockets another 50 years.However Arabs have plenty of money so they can buy technology from other countries.
