Can our IP address be traced

Just wanted to know post on this forum or for that matter any other forum can be traced by investigation department? If yes post through bypass proxy server can be traced?

Anything and everything on Internet Can be monitored .In reality No one needs permission for cyber tracing (on paper,Yeah They do) .Any time a member signs in or posts or browse ,IP address are logged depending on settings.In short admins of different sort of sites and Forums do`ve info. what proxy,browser,Your Nearest Location,Device ,multiple Ids you are using.Positive Change is, there is no more Site forwarding service offered by Google for free . .In USA even Phone numbers are monitored .Here its Called NSA .In my opinion ,Its not bad thing ,its just demand of new century .

Best way to minimize your personal info or presence on internet is to stay away from Facebook & LinkedIn They don`t just expose you but whole family tree.its bit too much.want to know secrets or spy on people - can do so easily & legally HERE ( You`ll surprised by finding yourself here )

This is a vBulletin 4.2.2 forum. So the forum owner (Administrator, not moderators) have the access to user's IP addresses.

They can even block a range of IP addresses so that if a user is banned, then he can not create another account on the forum from the IP addresses he has used before!!
Currently with the modern DSL connections, the users are getting static IP addresses (3-4 years ago dynamic IP was a norm). So be careful, you might have a limited choice of IP addresses, unless you are using Tor (or any anonymous free VPN), which are definitely very slow.

Fortunately, the forum admin is not in Pakistan, so keep calm, your IP addresses are safe ;).
The question of government departments investigating users' IP addresses would be important only if the admin were residing in Pakistan.
