رومانیہ کے گینگ نے 5 لاکھ آسٹریلوی افراد کے کریڈٹ کارڈ کی تفصیلات تک رسائی حاصل کرکے 30 ملین امریکی ڈالرچرالئے، غیر قانونی رقم کی منتقلی ہانگ کانگ، آسٹریلیا، یورپ اورامریکا میں عمل میں لائی گئی۔​

پولیس نے اس سلسلے میں رومانیہ میں 16 افراد کو گرفتارکرلیا جن سے مزید تفتیش کی جارہی ہے ان افراد سے بڑی تعداد میں کمپیوٹراور دیگر سامان برآمد ہوا۔

There is no way getting the data back, the data would be mostly consisting of the personal information of the card holders, once divulged, it remains divulged, you can't undivulge it. Its just like if I know your real name or have disclosed it to others, you can't take it out of my memory or the others or the others that the others would reveal it to.
Who knows to how many people this data was sold to or revealed to. So the card holders would be given new cards, with new numbers; advised from the bank to change their pin #, passwords etc; but things like ID #, passport #, telephone numbers, DOBs, emails or addresses are obviously not possible to be changed.

While the money that has been taken would be be mostly recovered if not spent. The card holders would get the money from Banks, the banks from Insurance companies; who would be the only party bearing some loss in case the money is not fully recovered.
