West Indies currently hold the record, successfully chasing down 418 to defeat Australia in Antigua in 2003.
With the free-flowing Akmal at the crease, alongside his obdurate captain Yousuf, Pakistan still have a fighting opportunity to create history.

However, if you look at certain elements about the game, it is more likely another lose for us. The huge factor is that never such a huge total has been chased. Secondly, the pitch will more vary in bounce and turn than the 1st four days. Thirdly, if this pair does not stay on pitch for long, it will be hard to expect a win from Ice berg Misbah. Lastly, I dont see anyone playing aussies bowler when the new ball will be taken.
The odds and evens are in the favor of aussies but you never what side of the bed paksitani team wakes up. And honestly, win or lose does not matter.What matter is competation. They should act in a manner that we are here to win against you aussies. The first inning's display was heart breaking. It seemed like Pakisani team had already lost the match but they are just playing for the time.
Go Pakistan Go............ I hope they wake up from the winning side of the bed today :)

No prediction I can only expect a usual defeat on the cards for Pakistan. The team whos unable to bowl out its opposition on both occasions and fail miserably to post a good total in the first innings dont deserve any reprieve. The remaining Pakistani batsmen have to perform out of their skins and to produce the effort of lifetime to chase a world record total on the last day. Good luck to them but I expect no miracles from this side except for them to compete hard and embrace a brave defeat from their tormentors in Test cricket which they are continuing to experience for more than 14 years now (Last time Pak won a Test against their current nemesis was way back in late 1995 at Sydney Cricket Ground).
