An Introduction to evolution

This a great place to start for all those who are sill struggling to understand the "theory of evolution". I hope this might finally help some of the "learned" religious scholars on this forum to finally understand what this theory says. Enjoy the reading !

The definition
Biological evolution, simply put, is descent with modification. This definition encompasses small-scale evolution (changes in gene frequency in a population from one generation to the next) and large-scale evolution (the descent of different species from a common ancestor over many generations). Evolution helps us to understand the history of life.
The explanation
Biological evolution is not simply a matter of change over time. Lots of things change over time: trees lose their leaves, mountain ranges rise and erode, but they aren't examples of biological evolution because they don't involve descent through genetic inheritance.
The central idea of biological evolution is that all life on Earth shares a common ancestor, just as you and your cousins share a common grandmother.
Through the process of descent with modification, the common ancestor of life on Earth gave rise to the fantastic diversity that we see documented in the fossil record and around us today. Evolution means that we're all distant cousins: humans and oak trees, hummingbirds and whales.

The $M question still stands

Did human beings evolved from Monkeys/Donkeys/Darwin?????

There are still some un-answered posts on the other thread u started on the same topic. Why u ran away from that thread and did u need to open a new one?

Dear The Theory you mentioned above is purely a theory without any documented proofs, why you waste your time, server bandwidth and viewers time.

Its for your education so you can learn something, though I am sure you won't, any way, about the other request from you, I have noted your request and I will let you know if I want to ... (yapping)

If you can read English then you could have clicked the above link and learned something, but I guess we Pakistanis are champions of making Bongian !

Thanks for caring about my education. I appreciate everyone's effort who tries to contribute to my learning and understanding........I really do!

If you make a sincere and courteous effort, I definitely would!

But the problem is with your style of educating. You are bent upon pushing your understanding of biological evolution (and there is likelihood that you may be wrong) down people's throat whether they are interested or not. If you really want people to read ur posts, ponder over them and feel convinced, then u need to change ur style of education, need to learn how to present your point/argument with courtesy.

It seems you have discovered every thing............learnt every thing which was there to be discovered and learnt and your knowledge is complete, Is it so???

evolution theory is nothing but falsehood.

Well, it is not totally falsehood and not the total truth. It is just a scientific observation which is still evolving. The thing is that it will not be justified to compare it to accept or refute any religious beliefs and/or interpretations. Lets science ponder and work so that it may reach to a point where this theory can really answer the questions which still are a myth. For sure that to answer those questions, the theory will have to make itself more befitting for its need of survival. It is also not beyond comprehension that one day it might come to terms with the generally accepted religious beliefs and/or interpretations. However, till then, we have to wait and let the scientists do their work, in their areas. Yet, the scientists should also refrain from imposing their thoughts to be generally accepted by everyone as the ultimate truth and start to redefine the religious beliefs and/or the interpretations unless and until they can answer each and every questions that sustains to the theory of evolution.

You can say it's not totally false since few things sound logical for example the concept of natural selection which says the animals that could run faster survived their species and some couldn't. But what proof available for that. Not a single one. Which allows me to disregard theory of evolution. I don't know why are you so hopeful about this theory.

Well, I am not too hopeful for the theory, since I am not a biologist and neither do understand each and every aspect of this theory. However, my concerns are in respect of development of knowledge. Somethings, should not be considered as valid or invalid in the light of religion, specially when they are in their infancy period. In the history of Medieval Islam and Christianity, many scientists were desolated and/or killed by the religious clerics. Therefore, my point is to let science go on its way and it should be given its liberty to make mistakes, learn from them and correct them.

In Pakistan, I have seen many parents who will not like their children to take up research topics which go into the realms of evolution. Now, in my point of view, this only impacts the development of knowledge and stagnates it. Who knows that someone brings a new breakthrough in the field which might turn the tables.

what is the future of humans in context of evolution. what will they become in future.

They will become Superhumans with four eyes, six hands and two brains and a remote ear as well, because in the modern times we need these things for our survival.
