It is not a simple contempt or contempt in the ordinary sense
An ordinary contempt could have taken place 'once' and then afterwards it would not have existed at all.
Specifically, in the case of the PM, it is a contempt which is reviving every second which is in the legal sense a ' continuing contempt'.
That is why - SC judges have been asking the PM to accept it now that he will write the letter to Swiss Authorities.
Even if the PM is convicted, he will continue committing this offence every second.
Therefore, a 'one off' conviction is not the right answer to this offence until the PM says he is wrong.
For continuous offences, convictions must also be continuous.
It means he must suffer the consequence until he continues to say Supreme Court decision is not accepted.
This at least as adversely proportional to Etzaz Ahsan's argument means he will automatically disqualify until Mr. Zardari remains President of Pakistan as it is being pleaded that the letter cannot be written until Zardari is President.
and this will be in addition to a penal sentence or disqualification.
In Punjabi it is said "K.tt.aa haje wi khooh wich ai" - dog is still in the well.
