پاکستان ریلویز نے مقامی سطح پرعالمی معیار کی مال گاڑی کی ویگنیں تیار کرلیں

پاکستان ریلویز نے مقامی سطح پر مال گاڑی کی عالمی معیار کے مطابق ویگنیں تیار کرکے بڑی کامیابی حاصل کرلی ہے۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق پاکستان ریلویز کے چیف ایگزیکٹو آفیسر (سی ای او) نے لاہور کے کینٹ ریلوے اسٹیشن پر نئی تیار کردہ مال گاڑی کی ویگنوں کا افتتاح کیا۔

ریلوے حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ ویگنیں چینی ٹیکنالوجی سے تیار کی گئی ہیں اور ان ویگنوں می کنٹینیرز کو ایک جگہ سے دوسری جگہ منتقل کرنے کی صلاحیت بھی موجود ہے۔
نئی تیار کردہ 40 ہائی کیپسٹی ویگنوں کو ریلوے فلیٹ میں شامل کردیا گیا ہے، ویگنوں پر 70 ٹن لوڈ ڈالا جاسکتا ہے۔

اس موقع پر سی ای او پاکستان ریلوے عامر بلوچ کا کہنا تھا کہ ان ویگنوں کے ریلوے فلیٹ میں شامل ہونے کے بعد مال گاڑی کی اسپیڈ بھی 100 کلومیٹر فی گھنٹہ تک پہنچ جائے گی، مقامی طور پر ویگنوں کی تیاری خوش ائند ہے اس سے فارن ایکسچینج کی بچت ہوگی اور ہر سال تقریبا 9ارب روپے تک کا فائدہ ہوگا۔۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ آئندہ مالی سال کے اختتام تک مجموعی طور پر 820 کوچز ریلوے سسٹم کا حصہ بنیں گی۔

Pakistan assembled the carriages/wagons using Chinese technology so it is nothing to boast about.I keep saying this again and again.Pakistan will not become a strong economy unless it starts building it’s industries indigenously.To achieve this Pakistan needs a big pool of competent STEM graduates and a strong industrial base.I don’t expect Pakistan to make everything itself but it should be able to make cars,trucks,railway carriages,ships etc.Turkey has made big progress in defence production because it has goo leadership.Iran has a strong industrial base too even though it has been under sanctions for decades.Indigenisation must be a top priority but haramkhor generals have destabilised Pakistan so it won’t happen for a long time.

Not possible my friend. The railway projects ML-1 never get approved, even IK tried to finish it up with Chinese. There is just not enough capital with Pakistan to invest on this project and Chinese do not want to take the responsibility of completing it with their money. That is about 7-billion-dollar project.

But how can they even think about running mordern trains on these horse cart trails? They want to fly from the highest tower without wings or a parachute. They can do it little by little, cause i don't see how these new locomotives are gonna be used at their even half their capacity. I reckon this is just Pakistani logic.

I do not know about how they plan to run these carts. But my understanding is that Pakistan Logistic Cell (PLC) under the subsidiary of Pak Army ruined the income of Pakistan Railway long time ago. They took most of the cargo which was once used by Railway to transport. Mind you, every railway's bread and butter are the cargo shipment, not regular passengers.

The cost to the new tracks is way more than what railway is making these days. There has to be a lots of capital infusion to complete that project which is yet to be found.

I don't think any modern trains are coming on these old tracks anytime soon.

But the thing is that whatever earned is not being rolled back into the fold hence to sorrption and mismanagement. Even though with so much population, I have seen Indian trains to be far better and mordernized compared to ours. Just that traveling in Mumbai local trains is hectic because of over crowding, which was nearly impossible for me to travel in the morning times. but their National trains are far better and managed properly. I know this is just on Papers for now. but provincial government should own these projects rather than giving a go ahead on the renovations at a national level ...
