Indeed, the umbilical cord of the "chosen" few in our hapless land is still firmly tied with London; unbeknownst perhaps even to themselves, but who cares that delayed clamping or unclamping of the cord could really be detrimental?! The bitter truth: the Quaid and Liaquat did try to proactively cut this umbilical cord and paid with their lives.
The biggest question that everyone must ask right now is that
how could an unelected, unrepresentative junta of crooks and cronies imposed on this country genuinely defend the interests of Pakistan, let alone negotiate and sign a long-term treaty with India and reshape South Asia? Is it the "reunion" that Mian Nawaz Sharif has been dreaming of since 1991-92? Doesn't it all make more sense now that, from Hyde Park to Jati Umra, the Sharifs are out croaking at full throats? Haven't we seen enough of the illegal, unconstitutional, illegitimate 26th Amendment already hammered down the country? This
country needs, more than ever before, an
immediate dissolution of all provincial and national assemblies and fresh general elections NOW to return Allah SWT's Imanah and trust to His people, who may then negotiate with India and defend and advance Pakistan's interests. Only a genuinely elected and mandated government could do this, and thereby also resolve all our internal and external disputes and usher in internal/external stability and a stable and prosperous South Asia.
Secondly, now that this so-called "operation" is over, it is paramount for the public to know (1)
Who proposed and who approved this so-called "operation" "

esp its name? And (2)
Were prior inputs, consults or concurrence, direct/indirect, from London or Washington obtained? Will someone dig this out?

In medieval ages and colonial empires, it sometimes used to happen but out of different considerations.
