This sort of reshuffling has never happened in Pakistan's history. Khan has taken a massive risk by putting his cabinet upside down.

PM is doing the Cabinet Reshuffle after evaluating the performance of ministries, and reshuffling is done so that performance improves in the ministries. Some ministers have shown excellent performance, and they are shuffled to departments that required more attention. Some who have lacked in some areas but performed better in certain regions are shuffled to other ministries according to the strong points they exhibited in past ones.

Those who haven't performed are sacked. In the case of Asad Umar he was switched to Petroleum ministry, but he chose not to opt for any ministry. This reshuffling is for Pakistan's sake, and it won't have made sense not to do any change in the cabinet when PM after careful evaluation for months see that a better strategy is available

Absolutely its a bold step to give Ministry of Finance to the person work under another great PM Sir Yousuf Raza Gillani and just because of Hafeez Shaikh economy during PPP tenure was excellent. I don't know why IK given Asad Umer 8 months? AU shouldn't be given Fiance Ministry rather Hafeez Sheikh must be first choice.
