Govt to file reference against Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza

اسلام آباد: (دنیا نیوز) حکومت نے سندھ اور بلوچستان کے اراکین سے حلف نہ لینے پر چیف الیکشن کمشنر سردار رضا کے خلاف سپریم جوڈیشل کونسل میں ریفرنس دائر کرنے کا فیصلہ کر لیا۔

ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ حکومت کی جانب سے مقرر دو نئے الیکشن کمیشن اراکین سے حلف نہ لینے پر چیف الیکشن کمشنر سردار رضا کیخلاف ریفرنس دائر کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے۔ حکومت نے سپریم جوڈیشل کونسل میں سردار رضا خان کیخلاف ریفرنس دائر کرنے کیلئے قانونی مشاورت مکمل کر لی ہے۔

حکومت کا موقف ہے کہ چیف الیکشن کمشنر نے سندھ اور بلوچستان کے اراکین سے حلف لینے سے انکار کیا، حکومت کی جانب سے مقرر اراکین سے حلف نہ لینا آئین کی خلاف ورزی ہے، جس کے بعد سردار رضا چیف الیکشن کمشنر کے عہدے کیلئے موزوں نہیں۔ ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ حکومتی ریفرنس میں سردار رضا کو چیف الیکشن کمشنر کے عہدے سے ہٹانے کی استدعا کی جائے گی۔

Issue is not EC, J. Sardar Raza or duration of his term but the constitution and the intent of parliament. Filing a reference is only constitutionally available venue to settle this differing interpretation of constitution for once and all. The reference is only a plea to SC to clarify the law for both parties. Parliament may amend the constitution if fed is not satisfied viewing the guidance of SC's decision.

The why government put the ball in apex court, if they feel there is lacuna, they must act and launch the amendment for the selection process.
Intention to initiate this process showing no difference between PTI/PMLN/PPP, previous both always seeking the instruction from Apex court to save themselves, that they are just doing on the advice of Court.
Where gone the vision.........

if there is confusion and there is we all know, why not directly start the amendment process.???
