This is only a beginning. More pressure is coming our way. NATO is asking us for air bases on Pakistani ground after NATO leaving Afghanistan. Whatever blasphemy laws exist in Pakistan, have always been there. No new law has been introduced. GSP+ was renewed in 2020 for two years as Europe felt that overall Pakistan was doing enough on 27 European conventions which are attached to GSP+. They want Pakistan to do enough on the environment, drug traficking, human rights, and minorities. And in 2020, the European council found Pakistan making good progress. So why now?
