He is absolutely right. By politicizing the issue, she has made it harder for real work to be done to get her brought to Pakistan. The way Fauzia Siddiqui has played the MQM game is absolutely abhorrent, and detrimental to her sister's interests.

Is it already not politicized......???

Why Namatullah himself does not want to withdraw in her favor. It looks like a woman cannot contest from JI platform for some religious reason, then PTI should support her.

If she decides to lend hand to MQM while demanding her sister's release, she is hindering other political forces who do not agree with MQM, in helping the release.

I feel sorry for Aafiq Siddiqui, but her sister has a very rude and disgusting attitude.

Just check out on youtube how she abused Imran Khan for allegedly not helping her (even though he is not in power) while being friendly and cozy with the MQM, who were in power but have done nothing to bring her back (except for one protest, which they did during the time when MQM feared action against it in the UK.)

Whenever you hear news of some action against Altaf Hussain in England, MQM decide to protest against Aafia Siddiquis incarceration, with Fauzia Siddiqui ever ready to joing MQM stage

Faouzia is sister if she protest its her right to protest, but if any other political party support her its their stand but if a party claim that her family is politicizing issue by not only asking them to raise voice its pathetic. Every political party of Pakistan support Afia case. That the main pain for Jamat-e-Islami that wants to 'play the card ALONE'

Problem is the opposite. Fauzia Siddiqui is allowing MQM to fully take advantage of the issue, when they want it. She has never appreciated efforts of other parties in this issue, which is inevitably going to hurt Aafiq Siddiquis case.

I agree with Namatullah Khan, beside all this 1st of all if she was there for Musharraf than she should back down now since he is not there. Only thing she is going to do is divide more votes. She should back down now as the message has been sent and as she announced that she is there because of Musharraf it is beneficial for her that she honor her word.

@Darkstar so if Jamat-e-Islami has pain with MQM they should blame only MQM why are they criticizing Afia's family ?
Basically its Jamat-e-Islami that always tried to cash the religious sentiments of our society for their political benefit and they become jealous if someone else also raise voice for the same. There "Islam k Thekedar" approach has brought them to a disaster of such level that they themselves can't win any seat in near past they always look for alliances like IJI, MMA, PIF etc.

I m not here to defend JI. But if cashing religious sentiments is wrong, then cashing ethnic and linguistic sentiments is also just as wrong.

How can she claim to fight for the right of her sister's return, when she is standing in election against other polticial parties? Parties that have supported her cause?

If I want my sister's return, I wouldn't do that by standing in election against other parties, who are in a better position to help me, than I would be if I won my solitary NA seat.

It seems like Fozia Siddiqui is milking the misery and torment of her sister.

@Darkstar you are not only defending but also fighting for Jamat-e-Islami and blaming and blaming Afia's family. So if she want support of all on Afia case, it bare her from running in Elections?

I suspect that she is contesting on the instructions of MQM. She will only cut the votes of JI and PTI and will put these parties in an awkward position. Specially JI. There is 0.0% chance of her victory since political dynamics are altogether different. Having sympathy is one thing and getting vote is totally different. Will she have enough poling agents to cover even half of the polling stations of her constituency?

The worst outcome will be that it will hurt her cause more than any thing. All her supporter parties will be cautious now to let her share their stage any more. Bad bad move if she is really sincere with her sister.

Do you not understand, that once she gets into politics, she will lose her goodwill with people from other political parties?

Have you ever heard of NGOs or human interest groups fighting elections? They don't do it, because they know that the issues they support will become politicized, and more difficult to get implemented.

How the heck is getting into politics going to help bring Dr Aafia back?

Why shouldn't Baba Nematullah be angry? He is also standing for election from the same constituency.

I bet Arif Alfi of PTI must be angry too, since her standing will only diminish JI and PTI vote, making this marginal MQM seat into a sure shot MQM seat.
