Federal Minister for Water and Power Development Khawaja Asif was stopped by authorities at London’s Heathrow Airport on Saturday evening for carrying ‘prohibited items’ in his luggage, reported Express News.



Khawaja Asif was reportedly traveling from London to Lahore on a Pakistan International Airlines flight PIA-715.



Express News correspondent Naseem Siddiqui reported that the minister had received his boarding pass, but was stopped during subsequent screening.



Airport authorities put Asif and his luggage through another screening process and let him through after removing some alleged prohibited items from his luggage.



No further details were available on what the prohibited items were.

I think the allowed size for any liquid is 100ML, which if you have a bottle of Listerine larger then that, you will be stopped. They will, most likely, throw it away and let you go on...

Oh by the way, once you pass security, you can buy whatever the crap you would like to(depending what an airport has to offer)

i don't think khwaja asif was carrying Liquor but whatever he was carrying he should have known about it, if he did not ? why he was not told about it by our embassy people.Even a non elected politician if gets stopped is insulting let alone an elected parliamentarian with a portfolio.
He has brought a yet more shame for the country, Out of his ignorance and out of totally non-professional approach of our embassy.BUT another angle is may be KH asif was carryig something whatever it was w/o the knowledge of our embassy staff.
