فواد چوہدری جہلم سے پہلی مرتبہ آزاد امید وار کے طور پر الیکشن لڑا تھا .. موصوف کو دو سو ووٹ بھی نہیں ملے تھے... دو بار جناب کو خان کے نام پر ووٹ ملے تھے... لیکن حلقے میں پینے کے پانی کی کیا صورت حال ہے ... ذرا ملاحظہ فرمائیں... پہلے بھی ووٹ خان کے نام پر ملا تھا، اب لوگ اس کی تشریف پر جوتے بھی خان کا نام لے لے کر ماریں گے

We should have criticized Fawad when he was in power or belonged to PTI regarding the state of development in his constituency. Why is everyone suddenly remembering how bad he was when he left the PTI? He may not be the bravest soldier, but he did a lot for the PTI when he was there. Let's give him the benifit of the doubt. Who knows what kind of pressure he's under now. By the way, I always criticized Fawad for his secularist mindset when PTI was in power.

It undermines Islamic principles of governance and ultimately Islamic practices at the individual level. More often than not, seemingly Muslims pushing for a secular ideology in Muslim majority states are wary of Islamic practices and sometimes even narrow-minded apostates and Islamophobes. His secular stance in a party that dreams for "Riasat-e-Madina" irked me and I felt that he was grafting his own ideological agenda, like the 'Munafiqeen' in the actual Riast-e-Madina.

The way molvis interfere in our personal opinions now a days has reached a dangerous level and I personally believe secularism is the way forward. Make religion your personal affair. I see no harm in copying the model of riyasat e madina with freedom of religion in mind. Didn't Umar R.A provided freedom of religion and safety to the the jews and Christians of Palestine? Was that against islam?

I don't have my own definition of secularism. I go by the definitions its proponents use, but those definitions get thrown out the window when it doesn't suit them.

"Molvis" exist in every ideology. Secular molvis in Turkey threw girls out of schools for wearing the hijab, a personal religious matter.

You can rein in molvis by properly educating people about Islam. Disregarding Islamic governance to defy the Molvis is like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Hazarat Umar created a communal hegemony under the Islamic rule. He didn't adopt secularism.
