Youtube ban...national interest or political interest

I just dont understand the logic behind banning youtube.

Ok so there is trailer on that website, but it just doesnt pop up without seraching it. Just like porn. Only people who want to watch porn see it, those who dont, never get shoved in the face by it.

I think banning Youtube has a more deeper reason as our politicial and "other" leaders were getting some serios bashing on the internet and people were venting thier frustation through videos on youtube, it became a platform where the weak could communicate.

The Arab spring took place because of Youtube and Facebook.

I think people just dont realise that they have lost a right to media through this ban.

Its purely political governments way of making it look that they are really doing something. These type of videos have been around for years and this Egyptian guy woke up everybody.

Not political... Even if it is political, than nothing wrong in doing good jobs in poltics :)

Youtube ban is good decision, like personally we should bycoot youtube, its duty of govt too, they are muslims.. they also do some steps to stop such negative steps used by a non muslim...

Many sane people objected at banning the whole youtube domain - but the fact of matter is that most Pakistani's (many members here too) were adamant that Govt should ban the website. Now when Govt has banned Youtube on public pressure it would be lame to condemn the action.

Actually PTI supporters were the most vocal ones for that, one member even objected that youtube was accessible through secure browsing (https).

And everyone knows that Pakistani government is in full control of Jew they do everything to please their masters,but the good thing about this ban is that they have managed to fool the ignorant masses that they really care about Islam,which is such a blatant lie,really.
