Seventy different sumptuous dishes, variety of sweet dishes and multiple kinds of salads were served by prime minister, Nawaz Shariff for entertaining Asif Ali Zardari at lunch today (23 August) in his Raiwaind Palace. It was outrageous display of ostentation, waste of money and travesty of justice when millions of abjectly poor of Pakistan can not afford to buy a loaf of bread for their families. I do not know how much was spent to entertain an embezzler and a notoriously dishonest person and his party and who paid the bill?
Even Queen Elizabeth of England would not order cooking seventy different dishes for any royal visitor for a dinner party. I felt so ashamed and annoyed at this unnecessary and absurd display of disparity between the filthy rich and abjectly poor of Pakistan.
I am now more convinced than ever before that Mr Nawaz Shariff, a multi-billionaire businessman does not deserve to be the prime minister of Pakistan. He thinks that he is running his multi-billions dollar business empire and not Pakistan that belongs to over 180 million poor Pakistanis.
