ISLAMABAD: China released $300 million more for the flood disasters in Pakistan. By adding this amount the total relief amount for flood victims from China has reached $500 million.

This was stated by the Chinese ambassador in Pakistan, Lui Jian while meeting with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. Jian also delivered a special message from the Chinese Prime Minister to his Pakistani counter part.

Jian also said that China will also deliver more army helicopters and troops for rescue and relief for flood hit areas. DAWN NEWS

This debates started after the stupid comment by Halbrok that where are China and Iran, Pakistan's so called Friends. I don't think Pak-China Friendship can be judge with the fact that China didn't help Pakistan in Flood disaster. ...........It was a rediculus thinking even. China had help Pakistan in every respect of life and China would certainly do it now as well but China mostly does it silently.

In my view even if China didn't help in Flood, doesn't matter. China had already help us a lot.

China , if you notice has always been a low profile player ...I donno how many of us know but America is indebted to China today ... and that debt is not strategic ...it's in hard cash . America had to loan money from china to stabilize it's reserves somewhat after a trillion dollar stimulus package Obama surfaced when he came into office.
For decades Chinese weren't allowed to buy cars.... 80% of China rode bicycles .... even then they worked with a very low profile ..bought out all the oil and iron they could possibly store .... Once they secured their country's economy , that's when people were given some relief . Perfect example of "COUNTRY FIRST" ....some would argue that it is secularism ... whatever it is ..they are honest with themselves and that's why they are arguably the biggest force in the world today . They are usually just humble people who are okay with a low profile.

Actually we should not be worried about donation competition. It is natual clamity and has to be taken as such. China is our true friend. Other countries are also donating as per their circumstances. We should not judge friendship with amout of money donated. A single pound from a true and sincere friend is equl to millions donated by others.
