Even though Judiciary is ranked 139/150 but I always respect Judges or else the system will collapse. Whatever verdict it may be, the Judge should write his detailed opinion with his/her interpretation of law so it becomes a part of archives for generations to come. Unlike the infamous Khosa, Saqib Nisar and the Bandial who gave verdict with references to Mario Puzo instead of law & constituition, lets hope these Judges write good.

They generally do. However, sometimes the judgement comes from elsewhere, and they wish to gain approval of the masses. Therefore, they fully utilise the opportunity, and act in a populist manner. In the aforementioned instances, you will notice their usage of political language within the court proceedings, and their partiality towards a party in their decisions.

Also, irrespective of the references cited in the judgements and the reasoning derived from such references, if a judgement has been influenced by improper factors, including coercion and bribery, and becomes part of the Pakistani jurisprudence -through Stare Decisis- it would keep on destroying the stability, and reliability of our legal system as another regime may force the judges to reverse that particular decision.

Furthermore, even if the judgement is dressed up as a “sound” legal argument, such a decision, due to its wrongful reasoning, is relied upon by the courts in their future decisions, and further rots the system. Therefore, irrespective of whoever is in power, we must strive to rid our courts of impropriety. Otherwise, we fail to qualify as a civilised, and decent society.
