What really happened, what was the cause of floods?

Dear Friends,

I have been following pretty much all talk shows and other programs on the recent Pakistani flood. But I still cant understand how did this flood happen, what was the cause. We ususally have floods but how this flood became so devastatingly huge? I still dont understand what is the scientific exp*****ion. Can somebody enlighten me on this.

started with small flood in north. It gained momentum and strength as it rolled over south. To add fuel to the fire, India opened all 59 dams on behest of Israel to punish us.

If Indian act is true then India will be punished. Pakistanis have accused India of releasing H2O to make it worse, but I have not read any where India denying it. You can take it from here

It's very simple my brother.


All our media has headquarter in Dubai except for PTV or may be a couple of more. All major ones have any anyway. These channels are heavily influenced by Indian advertisers, so they must listen to the $.

There is no patriotism in media in Pak. They go where the money. Heavy media reform is long over due in Pak

If you look at it in a longer term perspective then it is Pakistan's fault. Ther is no way we could have prevented the flloods, but if we had built large reservoirs and dams over the years we could have minimized the devastations caused by the floods.

In shorter term these floods were caused by torrential rains and the devastations were intensified by the clandenstine release of water from Indian dams. India has around 100 dams on rivers coming in Pakistan, she does not need that many dams for any reason other than causing draught and floods in Pakistan. How Pakistani government and establishment handles this issue remains to be seen.

Scientifically there is No reason, some people are talking about HAARP and i dont think that HAARP can be used so perfectly to target a specific area in world, and if they are capable to do so they will flood Iran atomic plant and Pakistan atomic instalations. just rubbish

The flood came naturely and there is no any scientic reason behind this, if india open her dams then Pakistan should have dams in Pakistan to save that water.

if you considar this azab then its due to our collective character. one of example is our president, can you imagine this type of person become president of Pakistan, then what will be the nation who give him power to lead a nation.

1. Lot of water from heavy rainfall and probably accelerated glacier melt from global warming.
2. Flash flooding due to removal of forrests by timber mafia.
3. Lack of Dams and Large area reservoirs ( not the same thing as small dams - those are useless ), e.g the small warsak dam built in the 1960s on the river kabul is already silted up and cannot store any water. It only works as a run of the river project.

If we had the required large dams and large fresh water reservoirs and lakes this would be a completely different story. We would be wondering what we did do deserve the rehmat of extra water to replenish our arid land.
