Standing for National Anthem is shirk, Dr Israr Ahmad

It is very clear from Qur'aan and Hadeeth that SHIRK is worst of all sins. It is also very clear that there is no forgiveness from this sin. Shouldn't we be very careful to avoid any kind of activity even there a slight doubt that this act may lead to SHIRK. For example, prostrating (سجدہ) the grave, even "ta'azimi" (تعظیمی) has been declared by majority of Ulema as SHIRK. Tell me why would a Muslim take risk of committing SHIRK if that Sijda may lead him to hell??? On the other hand, doing Sijda (سجدہ) to a grave is not a requirement to be successful in Aakhirat (آخرت).

Message learned: Dr. Israr Ahmed were so afraid of doing any act where there is slight doubt that it may be termed as SHIRK in the Aakhirat (آخرت).

Just think about it ....neutrally....

Narrated 'Abis bin Rabia: 'Umar came near the Black Stone and kissed it and said "No doubt, I know that you are a Stone and can neither benefit anyone nor harm anyone. Had I not seen Allah's Apostle kissing you I would not have kissed you." (Sahih Bukhari Book #26, Hadith #667)

Do you think Umer
(رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ) would ever kiss anything without ever seen Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) doing the same act?

Lesson Learned: Umer
(رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ) were so careful about any action, which may come under the definition of SHIRK that he (رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ)decided to explain the only reason to kiss the black stone, while doing it. Kissing the black stone has religious value proved by Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). Before kissing anything with the intention of blessing, every Muslim should ask himself / herself whether this act was done by our Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). Kissing anything with the intention of getting religious blessing, without any prove of Muhammad pbuh doing the same act, may come under the definition of SHIRK. Obviously worldly affairs, for example kissing your child does not come under the definition of SHIRK.

Malik al-Ashja'i reported: We, nine, eight or seven men, were in the company of the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and he (صلى الله عليه وسلم)said: Why don't you pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah? -while we had recently pledged allegiance. So we said: Messenger of Allah(صلى الله عليه وسلم), we have already pledged allegiance to you (صلى الله عليه وسلم). He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) again said: Why don't you pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah? And we said: Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم), we have already pledged allegiance to you. He again said: Why don't you pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم)? We stretched our hands and said: Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم). we have already pledged allegiance to you. Now tell (on what things) should we pledge allegiance to you. He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said I (You must pledgeallegiance) that you would worship Allah only and would not associate with Him anything, (and observe) five prayers, and obey- (and he said one thing in an undertone) -that you would not beg people of anything. (And as a consequence of that) I saw that some of these people did not ask anyone to pick up the whip for them if it fell down.(Sahih Muslim Book #005, Hadith #2270)

The lesson learned from this hadeeth is that Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) took pledge from his companians (رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ) that theywould not associate with Allah anything (SHIRK) and that they would not beg people of anything. The companion of Prophet Muhammad(صلى الله عليه وسلم) knew that SHIRK is such a worst sin that there is no forgiveness for this sin (SHIRK) from Allah and as a consequences they(رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ) were so careful and afraid of Allah that they did not ask anyone to pick up the whip for them if it fell down. Obviously it is not a SHIRK to ask someone to help picking a whip, but this Hadeeth shows the extra carefulness of the companion of prophet Muhammad (رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ)trying not to involve in form of activity where there is slightest doubt of SHIRK.

May Allah give hidayat to this Umma and open their hearts to be able to understand the truth (Aameen)
