When i was in Dubai, i remember lot of us Pakistanis made a resolution. Say No to Indian products.

Gradually balancing imports and exports is the key, stopping all imports all of a sudden is not. Import industry also plays a role in the whole economy, slowing it down too much will slow the entire economy. Our biggest import is energy. Generating our own energy from our own sources (water, wind , sun) over the long run is the solution. There is no quick fix to current mess.

if we have outside companies in Pakistan we should force them to use Pakistani material in thier company rather then import their material from outside

for example if we have western fast food chains we should encourage them to use local made meat and other products rather then importing their food

so let companies come to Pakistan but enforce their material to be used only made in pakistan
