The former head of the British armed forces who recently retired and appointed as a defence advisor to Prime Minister David Cameron on Sunday confirmed that the war in Afghanistan is a war on Islam.
"General Dannatt has previously been on the record attacking Islams ruling system, the Khilafah (Caliphate)"
Speaking on the BBC Radio 4 programme about Britains continued occupation of Afghanistan, Gen (r) Sir Richard Dannatt said: There is an Islamist agenda which if we dont oppose and face it off in southern Afghanistan, or Afghanistan, or in South Asia, then frankly that influence will grow. We could see it moving from South Asia to the Middle East to North Africa and to the high water mark of the Islamic caliphate in the 14th, 15th Century.

He explicitly said if Muslims adopted Islams political ideas and the Khilafah ruling system, this would be unacceptable and warranted a military response from Britain. He had no issues with Muslims praying or enacting spiritual rituals, provided they surrendered political life to Western values.

This is precisely what Marhoom Dr. Israr Ahmed used to say - they would allow us follow the madhab, but not deen. And following deen means the system itself should be Islamic, not just the daily rituals.

PAkistani fools who were celebrating Sayeeda Warsi's chairmanship as an important breakthru need to see this, for weeks British media promoted Nick Clegg to make life easy for Con. David Cameron, conservatives will make life difficult for British muslims and it has already started. Sayeeda Warsi like symbols are just a face lift with no motive to support the minority comunity. There were Tehreek Insaaf followers defending support for Imran Khan's jewish brother in law Zac Goldsmith who won the coservative seat as well as admitted to be commttting adultery for quite sometime, Tehreek Insaaf's face kind of becoming more dubious, they have these liberal secular elites extremists in their party who can go to any extent as recently people like Awab Alvi was protesting banning of facebook for insulting our Holy Prophet [pbuh]. I can only pray that our brothers living there going thru problems already don't have to face more crap in these islamophobes' tenure helped by Imran Khan's shady party.

Seriously I don't get the gist of your post as to what you wanna say ... you are against Sayeeda Warsi ? Imran Khan ? or who ?

But one thing that I did understood is Imran Khan supporting his bro-in-law's election campaign ... that is wrong. A media hype ... you might have some problem with Imran Khan and let me assure you I am not an IK supporter or a PTI'an ... so believe me he was not there campaigning for his ex-bro-in-law. I have researched it.

Imran Khan campaiging for Jemima's Brother

Imran campaigns for Jemimas brother

Friday, March 12, 2010
By Murtaza Ali Shah

LONDON: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has thrown himself full-time into the election campaign of Conservative candidate Zac Goldsmith, the younger brother of his ex-wife Jemima Khan.

The former cricket skipper, known in some circles as Taliban Khan, is heavily engaged with Muslim voters in Londons Richmond Park battleground constituency where the young Goldsmith is fighting hard to unseat the incumbent Liberal Democrat MP Susan Kramer.

Khan, who is in London these days, campaigning vigorously with Goldsmiths has already twice door-stepped the congregation during his last two visits to London and plans to persuade the mainly Pakistani and Indian origin mosque-goers to vote for Zac Goldsmith.

His campaign team confirmed to The News during Friday prayers on March 12, Jemima Khan will accompany her brother and former husband. The general election in the UK is expected to be held on May 6 and the incumbent Labour Party is battling hard to minimise a few points lead Conservatives hold at the moment.

Zac Goldsmith, 35, whose full name is Frank Zacharias Robin Goldsmith, is one of the heirs to the wealth of billionaire Jewish financier, Sir James Goldsmith. The younger brother of Jemima Khan is one of the highest flying members of Conservative leader David Camerons inner circle, all of whom trace their roots and commonalities to an upper-class upbringing and education at the Eton College.

Radically conservative and opposed to immigration, Conservatives under David Cameron have liked to brand themselves as the modernists and inclusive but a significant section of the Tories remains right-wing.

They are opposed to Camerons modernist overtures and the cutting-edge influence of his close friends such as Zac Goldmith and others. They see Zac Goldsmiths decision to ask Imran Khan to accompany him to the Kingston Masjid as a sign that the new-look Tories under Cameron will go to any limits to pursue votes, even using those, like right wing leader Imran Khan.

After divorcing each other in June 2004 amicably, both Jemima and Imran Khan remain close to each other and during his frequent visits to London, the former cricketer enjoys staying always at his former mother-in-law Lady Annabel Goldsmiths posh residence in affluent upper-class Richmond suburb.

Imran Khan denies publicly that he is supportive of the Taliban and al-Qaeda but he is well-known for his intransigent views and he has used every opportunity to voice support for a dialogue with the Taliban.

Speaking to The News, Imran Khan said he was supporting Zac Goldmsiths campaign whole-heartedly because he does not need a career in politics... hence will take a stand for justice. Since he is like a younger brother I know his views and what he stands for.

I do think the post is meant to inform us muslims about how the west thinks about Islam and not for us to fight among ourselves and call others this or that. It is a sign of ignorence on our part that we start to fight with our brothers and sisters instead of trying to bring as many as possible together on common issues.
