KARACHI: Fazeelat-al-Sheikh Abdur Rehman Al-Sudais, prayer leader of the Grand Mosque of Makkah who has been appointed as chief caretaker of the Two Holy Mosques by Khadim al-Haramain al-Sharifain King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, has thanked Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, vice president of Geo, group editor religious affairs of the Jang Group and prominent research scholar, for his message of felicitation, saying that it is the expression of immense love and devotion that not only Dr Aamir remembered him on this happy occasion but also encouraged him to shoulder the responsibilities assigned to him by the higher authorities.

In his beautiful reply to the message of felicitation, Sheikh Abdur Rehman Al-Sudais, who recites the Noble Quran in a unique and moving style, said while addressing Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain: “I thank you for you sincere words and pray to Almighty Allah to enable and guide everyone and enable me to fulfil my responsibilities and come up to the expectations of the senior authorities.”

Sheikh Abdur Rehman Al-Sudais said he would desire the sincere prayers of Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain and useful advices in future as well. “Pray to Almighty Allah to reward the Khadim al-Haramain al-Sharifain and Crown Prince because He is undoubtedly very Kind.”

Displaying his customary humbleness, Sheikh Abdur Rehman Al-Sudais requested Dr Aamir Liaquat Husain to accept his sincere thanks.

Khadim al-Haramain al-Sharifain King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz appointed Sheikh Abdur Rehman Al-Sudais as chief caretaker of the Two Holy Mosques in June this year while he would also be serving as prayer leader of the Grand Mosque of Makkah.

IF this news is real, and if Sheikh Sudais really sent this letter to Amir liaqat, then whatever is happening to us today is fully justified.

There no no-one more just than Allah (SWT) and we muslims deserve every bit of this punishment.

May Allah guide us towards the right path!

Bro. U know better. It is a Muslim tradition that to ask for prayers and support to express the gratitude for the greetings. It is sheer out of the humility and humbleness of the down to earth and honorable men. And the moron and his cronies shall now blow it out of proportion and context to dupe the simple and innocent public.

When I was a child I remember my older brother, wrote a letter to, Roger More, expressing admiration for one of his 007 movies (moonraker). He did get a personal response, along with, among other things detailing future plan, personally autographed photographs and other memorabilia.

This send a lesson down my spine. When someone writes to you in nice way, you respond back in an equally nice or better way. This increases your own respect. Later I learned of Islamic manners stressing the exact same thing.

What Shaikh has done is correct. He responded in a nicer way to a felicitations. I would object to the Sheikh if he had responded to Aamir because he is a VC of a media empire. If he had responded to every letter of felicitation he is not doing anything wrong.
