http://tribune.com.pk/story/601308/...on-a-conspiracy-to-dismantle-k-p-says-anp/The resolution for a Hazara province is tantamount to a conspiracy to split Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) apart, said Awami National Party (ANP) central organising committee chairman Senator Haji Adeel on Saturday.

If a fifth province is on the books then a movement will be started to take back Islamabad along with parts of southern Punjab and merge it with K-P, he said at a news conference at Bacha Khan Markaz.

Senator Adeel pointed out the Hazara province was not part of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) manifesto, but the party leadership went ahead and submitted a resolution for the establishment of the province.

The PTI leadership is trying to distract people from the failure of its governments first 100 days by reawakening the idea of the Hazara province, alleged the ANP leader.

Before establishing a Hazara province, the provincial government needs to establish the Abaseen Division; give Baffa and Oghi the status of tehsils in Manshera; and get the Punjab Assembly to pass a resolution to merge Attock and Mianwali with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, argued the irate senator.

He claimed Margalla, which is a part of Islamabad, should also be absorbed by K-P. If elements in Lahore do not stop conspiring against K-P, ANP will drum up a resolution on the truncated division of the Durand Line which divides Pakistan and Afghanistan, he warned.

Interestingly, a similar resolution for the Hazara province was submitted by ANP MPAs during their government.
We are ready to forgive the blood of our 900 party workers, and participate in the all-parties conference, said Adeel while referring to the upcoming moot. He was formally invited by Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Khan over the telephone on Saturday.

Discussing the partys reorganisation, the senator explained ANPs intra-party elections will be conducted via secret ballots.

ANP has always played politics on matters that doesn't cost anything but gets sympathy of people. They didn't do development in last 5 years and did politics only on "changing the name of KPK" and "Kalabagh dam".

Well Mianwali was part of frontier, majority Niazi pathans half of which speak pushto other half speak 'strong dilect of saraiki' which is different from Multani saraiki and all Niazi tribes follow pukhtoonwali, lot of people have been confused regarding Mianwali, punjabis think they are sarakis with strong pathan influence and'some' pushtoons say they are not pathans as they don't speak pushto..debate goes on and on why half of them dnt speak pushto...anyways not sure abt attock and part of Islamabad though.

Niazis are pashtuns who settled in Mianwali among other places during the time of Mahmud Ghazni and I disagree that they have mostly Punjabi phenotypes, notable example being Imran Khan Niazi, Shermankhel. Mianwali although included in Punjab lies at the confluence of NWFP and Punjab. The Niazis first rose to prominence during the time of Mahmud Ghazni

Niazis in Pakistan currently live mainly in Mianwali district of Punjab, Bannu, Laki Marwat and Kohat However, a large number of the Niazi tribe still lives in parts of Afghanistan, mainly in Qalaye Niazi, Gardez, Logar and Paktia province. A considerable number have also settled in Karachi and other major Pakistani cities such as Lahore and Islamabad.

Pre 1901 there was no such thing as NWFP. In November 1901, North West Frontier Province was carved out of Punjab and present day towns of Mianwali, Isa Khel, Kalabagh, and Kundian were separated from Bannu District (NWFP)and hence a new district was made with the headquarters in Mianwali city and placed in Punjab.

I think this is what ANP peeps are referring to! post 1901

The funniest thing is that he has been eating and stooping in KPK all his life, and isnt even a Pashto speaker, but speaking for Pashtuns and referring to Durand Line .

ANP proves once again that they are not loyal to the territory of Pakistan but they want to lick the feet of AFGHANS who sold us twice to the Brits!

ANP's politics revolves around changing names and not allowing others to do things like constructing kalabagh dam. People rejected them for this reason. Now they should let PTI do what they want, because PTI is performance based party and doesn't believe in such stupid stuff

The jahil politicians of Pakistan will never understand the concept of devolution of power and adminisrative efficiency. They start playing ethnic politics and never think of people.Switzerland has 26 cantons (autonomous regions) with French,German ,Italian and Romansh speakers. There is no problem in Swizerland because of good governance.Afghanistan with a population of 25m has 34 provinces.Every division in Paistan should become a province with its own assembly, high court, state university, sports teams and tv stations. The current provinces are too big and can not be run efficiently.
