VIP culture is the ugliest face of capitalism, materialism and secularism where every everything is fair if you are filthy rich, a feudal lord, multi-millionaire, mullti-billionaire and if you belong to an elitist corrupt and embezzling group. You see its ugly form and abuse by the privileged few every where to go in Pakistan.

In Pakistan VIP culture is another name of: " Democracy of the rich, for the rich and by the rich." I believe that this pugnacious, obnoxious and mendacious culture should be buried deep in an ocean and never allowed to surface again

It insults human dignity and integrity.

A war against VIP culture is the need of the time. Whether politicians, bureaucrats or millitary officials , all are suffering from this disease. A ban on vehicles above 1500 cc and houses on plots above 800 sq yds should be imposed for a period of 20 years. All privilleges of VIPs of any kind be withdrawn and an austerity emergency be imposed in the country. Merely challenging a happening here and there is not enough. Isolated reactions soon die off. Solid and permanent measures need to be taken.

Shareef: I totally agree with you. There should be legislation against VIP privileges afforded to elites of the society. In the western democracies presidents, prime ministers and cabinet ministers are seen walking to work, cycling on the roads and travelling on the buses and trains without any security. But in our country, it is considered a shame if a ministers does not go around with a police escort of at least 5-10 security men. In Pakistan, this VIP culture is abused to humiliate the poor and have nots'of the society.

In the UK, even the Queen goes around her daily chores without any security.
