Karachi Police claimed to apprehend two people allegedly involve in the murder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Raza Haider. IG Sindh Salhudin Babar said that those arrested were alleged members of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. He added that the murderers have confessed killing of 10 other people.
IG Sindh Salah Uddin Babar Khattak was addressing from a press conference in Karachi. According to details, police and CID conducted a joint raid for the apprehension of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi members Muhammad Waseem and Abdullah. He further informed that Ayaz Haider and Iklaq have also been arrested to widen the scope of investigation. IG Sindh notified that police is on the look out for Haifz Qasim Rafique. It is pertinent to mention that IG Sindh confessed that the Karachi Police failed to keep in check the recent wave of target killings.
