Pakistan national anthem is unique in the history of world.
At the time of independence the navy's band played the music only there were no words sung.
In 1949 it was decided by the government of that time that to have a vocal anthem and it was an open invitation to all poets and people of nation to come up with the anthem. The most amazing words came from Hafeez Jalandari that he worte the anthem on the same lines as the musical tune which bands were playing. Thus this was selected as there was no need to compose a new music for the anthem. Indeed this was an amazing work by the poet.
