Treasury Minister David Laws resigns over expenses

Liberal Democrat David Laws has resigned as Chief Secretary to the Treasury after admitting he claimed expenses to pay rent to his partner.
He said he could not carry on with the "crucial work" on the Budget while dealing with the implications of the revelations in the Daily Telegraph.
He had earlier apologised and said he would pay back the 40,000 he claimed.

totally agreed but these so called politician and specially people of pakistan don't like to give votes to baaghairat pakistani. see the example of jamshaid dasti(ppp) if you don't trust me.

I agree with you fozeb and I am worried after JD elected. Does it mean that the majority of our country is ................

i am sure this is another british political move to make and look pakistani politicians evil and devil.
Our pakistani politicians are true politicians they face every thing with lions heart even if its a proven corruption charge or a case of fake degree
British politicians are so coward they simply step down.....huh...darpook....

i will recommend british govt to send all politicians to pakistan for one year training and then see how Britain changes ,


also i will appreciate courage of pakistani politicians there are not may BAIGHAIRAT PEOPLE in the world like our politicians and i expect them to keep it up....
my dear zardari make sure you face every thing with same BESHARAM SMILE and put some GLUE / ELFI on your chair and sit on top of it...so that even if some one tries to pull you , you will take ur chair with you or he may have to cut ur bums to take you away.....
