Police say three-time Pakistani Olympic boxer Abrar Hussain has been shot and killed.Police officer Hamid Shakil says Hussain died after assailants shot him in the head while he was driving from his office in Quetta.
Hussain, who was also Deputy Director General Pakistan Sports Board was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in critical condition but he succumbed to his injuries, a private news channel reported.
The 50-year-old Hussain represented Pakistan in the 1984, ‘88 and ‘92 Olympics.Hussain was serving as deputy director of sports in the capital of the Balochistan province.Quetta-based Abrar, who represented Pakistan in three Olympics, was famous among young boxers of the country.
