Traders are pmln voters but when it comes to taxes than government has to ignore their vote bank. Traders kept black mailing all previous government by not paying a single penny in taxes. I hope government will not bow down to their black mailing tactics.

Withholding tax can be refunded when you file you tax return. Traders simply refused to file tax return and refuse to get NTN number.

Do you know how much sale one jewlers do in one night in Lahore? Millions of rupees.
Do you how much tax they pay? Big Zero

Also, there is no tax on less than 50k transaction. How long government will keep getting black mailed by these traders? I would say government should not bow down otherwise no one will pay tax and everyone will do dharna & long march to keep million of rupees profit in their own pockets.

These are not people protesting but these are rich traders who make billions of rupees but simply dont want to file their tax return or registered themselves for NTN number.

Why traders have no public sympathy? Will you go and protest along these rich traders? Government simply saying that you either pay this tax or file your tax return and pay nothing? But traders refused to do both.
