The Truth Next Turn.
I have always wondered why truth is not very common in Pakistan? Most of us Pakistanis believe in conspiracies more than any country of the world. I am confident enough that if there is any polls or survey on the most conspiracies loved country of the world, Pakistan would take not less than top position. If you observe Pakistanis when it comes to religion, you will find Israel and Co forces wants to destroy Pakistani from the map of world. If you talks about current situation Pakistan in, the famous narrative of most Pakistanis comes to mind that whatever happening in Pakistan is due to American conspiracy to destroyed Pakistan and its atomic facility. And the most famous observation is when you discuss domestic politics, everything and everyone will blame Army and ISI. Every political movement in Pakistan is triggered by intelligence agencies and all political heads are tools in the hands of Army and ISI.
Currently, the newly hatched conspiracy is a political one and its about Imran Khan & Dr Dadri supposedly secret meeting in London, backed by America, UK and Iran/Canada to destabilised Pakistan democracy. The main players who stood fast in airing of this conspiracy are Pmln leadership, Javed Hashmi Sb, General Beg and to some extent GEO television. Well, my take on this conspiracy is that the government which is run by Pmln has unable to answers the uproar of Imran Khan that started from rigging allegations and point blank shooting of Dr Qadri workers in Lahore. After closely observing Pmln leadership on prime time television talk shows, press briefing and recent joint parliament session is that government is unable to propose a political solution to both opponents which led them to march towards Islamabad. Pakistanis were hopeful for a political solution to this turmoil which could have benefited ordinary Pakistanis in the form of constitutional reforms and would have work wonders for better democracy, later fog out when government decided to deal D-Chowk agitators with administrative force. The reason of this changed of hearts was not shocking after listening to minister of information Pervez Rashid that we will not going to agree on vote verification at any cost. So the government political solution was upgraded to administrative solution with implementation of section-144 which resulted in massive arrests of PTI-PAT workers and deadlock over political dialog. Unfortunately for the government their administrative step has not only faced political resistant but also strike down by courts. So the administrative actions backfired miserably and now they are running a conspiracy to discredit the agitators leadership and changing the debate narrative from real issue of rigging investigation and killing in Lahore.
Without going into details of how the agitators made it to Islamabad, I have observed Pmln leadership started questioning their intentions of march to Islamabad by naming and on some instance signaling towards Army and ISI for having hidden hands behind this agitation movement instead of settling the issue politically by taking their legit demands. Javed Hashmi, the famous whistle blower gave new life to government conspiracy after difference over changing sit-in place by naming both top-court and Army behind the agitators. For me, Javed Hashmi Sb disclosure of internal party discussion publically not only forced ISPR and Chief Justice to clarify their position but also strengthen this conspiracy. This conspiracy of Army&ISI behind these marcher taken new turns when Reuters filed a story by quoting one of the high positioned that not all but five general are behind this or shown their support without the consent of General Raheel. This conspiracy taken another turn when ISPR clearly expressed their grief over the Army inclusion and termed this as baseless propaganda. The same conspiracy have now taken name of London plan now referring to meeting of Imran Khan Dr Qadri and Chaudhary Sarwar as their facilitators. Three country behind this plan are US, UK and Iran/Canada, and Pmln commentators including Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif are trying hard to convert this into reality. To counter this narrative, one should ask Pmln leadership that the countries who openly supported Mian Nawaz Sharif rule are US and UK and why would they support you instead of supporting Imran_Qadri agitation movement? And why would Imran Khan fiercely criticise US for expressing their open support to Nawaz Sharif and termed as intervening in Pakistan internal politics? What will be the next turn of this truthful conspiracy?
I think, government should stop this negative approach and take this as pure politically motivated movement instead of London inspired conspiracy and bring back narrative to constitutional reforms. Government should tackle these issues politically instead of damaging one another credibility and credibility of their premier institutions. This conspiracy can die in one day if the government wants, by taking back narrative of debate towards real issues so that win-win situation can be achieved for both agitators and government. Else this agitation movement will turn few demands to many which will be only damaging to government itself and ultimately to Pakistan.
