The treatment with the Islamic threads- Are the Islamic threads as important as jokes?

On this enlightened forum it is observed that there are two or three threads like "Ahadees-e-Mubaraka", "Naat Shareef", and "Jokes" in which all the relevant threads are merged or rather dumped to dispose off as unimportant or valueless. Please consider the following about the merged Islamic threads:

  1. Ahadees threads loose their individuality and the importance as they get dumped in a big black hole of one thread.
  2. There time to catch readers' attention gets very short and most of the readers are unable to give due consideration and benefit from them.
  3. Search of the relevant Hadith or Naat gets a herculean task.
  4. Should we treat the threads of Ahadees and Naat equivalent to Jokes thread? (Nauzbillah)
On the other hand it is observed that sometimes admin merges a duplicate thread and the creator gets up against admin for the merger of the thread. More often than not the threads related to regional and linguistically inspired parties on which blame game is played are not merged into one thread. And the respected forum members get forced to get in the brawl.

In Islam politics is not separate from Deen-e-Islam; therefore, you are humbly requested to please consider the following:

  1. The threads of Ahadees-e-Mubarika must not be merged / dumped
  2. The threads of the Naat Shareef must not be merged / dumped
  3. Threads related to the brawl of regional and linguistically inspired parties in which blame game is the focus must be merged into one big black hole thread.
Comments of all the honorable members of this elite forum are invited, please.

The response of the administration has always been not only kind and cooperative, but also real time. That is why the forum is one of the elite one of its kind. Thanks once again.

Your Points are very valid Dear.

Admin without any thinking just merge two different threads. I don’t know why? Do they want to save space or something? I think they intentionally stop the way of diversity in the forum and merge different ideas and topic with one general name which definitely lose its importance and individuality.

I strongly support your ideas with added request to admin that they shouldn't merge any two more threads (though they can do duplicate ones) and leave as such please.

The creator usually struggles to find its thread on forum to answer any possible question (or comment) or to see the response of the members.

The case of Quranic Verses or Hadiths must be treated with Special consideration whatsoever.

in my opinion AHADEES and NAAT may plz not be brought onto this forum. Ahadees mostly remain disputed by diffrent thoughts of sects and a controvertial matter may plz be avoided here. NAUZOBILLAH i m not against AHADEES but these being controvertial and v not having adequate knowledge to check the authentication about it. let every one to believe about his AQEEDA and avoid posing it for discussions.as regards QURANIC versions, there remain no doubt and it is never disputed among us. regards.

I don't think all Hadiths are Controversial. There may be exception in some cases specially when the beliefs of Sunni or Ahl-e-Tashi (Shias) come across.

Hadees, daily life and politics are tightly integrated

I have no doubt in your sincerity for the comments. But Remember none of the Hadees can be called disputed. Rather they are categorized (Mutwatir, marfooh, moudoo, Zaieef etc) according to the authenticity and reliability of chain of narrators. Now a days there are many software available with search features. You can get involved in them to find the true guidance e.g.
http://www.allah.pk/ and there are many more. We cannot see HAdees and our daily life and politics as separate issue. Since all these are tightly integrated.

well brothers/sisters

as per my habit I must put in my two cents. One brother is saying that all ahadeeth should not be lumped into one thread because it looses its charm and exposure, very true

on the other hand lumping in one thread is also necessary for better management of Ahadeeth. Its easy for any one to find, otherwise you would have to search the forum by using search facility, in which case you may not find any because you must know the key word to find it.

So there is no win right?

No I give my input:

1. All thread relating to Ahadeeth must start with the word 'Hadeeth' or 'Quran' in case the thread is based on Quran.

for example:
Hadeeth: the subject of hadeeth ( I cant remember on eright now)
Quran: importance of Salat

This way, we can list threads sorted by the thread title and get right to ahadeeth and search for the desired hadeeth. Same thing for Quran

2. Allow us to post a hadeeth on its own thread and schedule, may be every Monday, merge all the ones there posted before the previous Monday. Same thing for Quran. Only Mod can do it tho.

Now THIS was my three cents (bigsmile)

you need to think along this line

I fully agree with what brother Wadaich has said, that Ahadeeth and Ayaahs are related to a subject or an issue so it would be imprudent to shift sporadic posts abruptly into a bin (nauzubillah). Though it is done unintentionally by our respected moderators but it must be avoided. Islam is complete code of life encompassing ibadaat and worldly life. The latter is ameliorated and improved by divine guidance which comes in form of Quran and Hadith. Its a day to day affair like politics hence ought to be dealt likewise.

Methodology suggested by Gazoo Bhai is excellent. I am in favour of merger of threads on one specified date of a month. You can fix it 15th or end of month or both. So merger should be a fortnightly or once-a-month affair.

and venerable Gazoo thanks for your valuable comments. Would you please consider the following suggestion of mine combined with both of yours:

The threads of Hadees and Quraa'n who do not receive any response for five consecutive days should be declared as archive and merged in the parent thread according to the format suggested by Gazoo.

Brother, first of all, let me make it clear that the purpose of merging Islamic threads is not to dump or dispose off as unimportant or value less. And I dont think being Muslim anyone of us will consider them unimportant.

1. The purpose of One thread was to make a collection or archive. Because it is observed that usually members see only the threads that are shown on Home page, or If they go to a forum, they will see those which or on top of the list.

2. Usually we dont merge Islamic threads immediately, for the same reason that as members should take benefit from it.

3. I think it is easy to search for a Naat or Hadith in one thread than searching in the forum, specially when their titles are in roman Urdu, as you know, people use different spellings to write roman Urdu. I use this search a lot and I know how difficult it is to pull a specific thread.

More often than not the threads related to regional and linguistically inspired parties on which blame game is played are not merged into one thread. And the respected forum members get forced to get in the brawl.

All threads on the same topic are merged, for example, Karachi Target Killings, Data Darbar Blast, Freedom Flotilla, etc.

Solution:

I think we must merge Naats and Hadiths to make one collection or archive but should let them remain independent for few days. as suggested by gazoo.

I feel it is a very good solution. By the way, Can we specify the time period for a thread being unattended and then merge it?
