The Islamic State has supporters in paradise

When the medieval Arab traveler Ibn Battuta gazed upon the Maldives, an Indian Ocean archipelago of more than a thousand coral atolls and turquoise-blue lagoons, he thought it "one of the wonders of the world." He didn't need much persuading to halt his voyage, and assumed the role of "qadi"--or chief religious judge--for the entire archipelago, deliberating on matters of state while enjoying the delights of the islands' beaches and, as local lore goes, its women.

Ever since then, travelers and honeymooners have flocked to the Maldives for their own bit of paradise. The country's myriad scattered luxury resorts now bring in hundreds of thousands of tourists every year -- in 2012, the Maldives counted over a million visitors, nearly three times the country's existing population.

But there's trouble in paradise, also. This past weekend, some 300 people in the capital city Male -- a tiny, crowded concrete island in the sea -- marched down its main thoroughfare waving the black flags of the Islamic State. They chanted slogans against democracy and held banners that read "Shariah is the only solution," among others. They ended their protest with a prayer offering support to mujahideen waging jihad around the world.
Mal residents posted pictures of the march on Twitter:

Its good that Islamists are taking over countries. Muslims are flirting with secularism, democracy, minority rights, women rights and individual freedom for past 50 years but to no avail. History teaches us Muslims never believed in such rights. When all of these countries become Islamic state, they will be busy killing each other in millions. In the end they will fail, then may be we will see reform in Islam.

Name a single country which has Sunni Muslims & it doesn't have support for IS.. and that too on a rapidly increasing pace. That's the main problem for Kufr. Caliphate is everywhere. Its a million people army. It amazing how they've used the social media to get the message across while the conventional media is in taghout's control. Amazing.

FBI: Islamic State support on
rise since US airstrikes[/h][h=3][/h]WASHINGTON - Support for the Islamic State organization has grown since the US launched airstrikes in Iraq and the group is attracting many new jihadist fighters, top US officials said Wednesday.

The IS group's "widespread use of social media and growing online support intensified following the commencement of US airstrikes in Iraq," FBI head James Comey told the House Homeland Security Committee.

The number of jihadist fighters in Syria and Iraq is now between 20,000 and 31,000, said Matthew Olsen, who leads the National Counterterrorism Center.
Olsen said the Islamic State group had "very sophisticated propaganda" which "exceeds" that from other groups.

"It's likely to have a potential impact on recruits," he said.

After the recent beheadings of two American hostages and a British man, Comey said the Islamic State group and "other foreign terrorist organizations may continue to try to capture American hostages in an attempt to force the US government and people into making concessions that would only strengthen (IS) and further its terrorist operations."

But intelligence services had no information the Islamic State group was plotting an attack inside the United States, Olsen said.

Since August 8, American forces have launched 167 raids against jihadist targets in Iraq.
