The failure of 'Mohajir province supporters' to Integrate into Pakistani Society

Whilst appreciating that some people on this forum may find this is a sensative matter. Nevertheless, I feel that this is an important topic. I am intrigued as to why supporters of the 'Mohajir province' still feel as though they are 'immigrants' even though they are third generation Pakistanis. Why is it that they have not integrated into Pakistani society? The national language of Pakistan is urdu, even a Punjabi, Sindhi, Baloch, Pathan and Kashmiri person can call themselves as Urdu speaking.

This thread is not aimed at those Urdu speaking people who regard themselves as 'Pakistanis' and not 'Mohajir'.

Please can you give your opinion on this?

This is simply because they are not being given equal opportunities.

The seeds of Mohajir province has been sown. If not now then later it will become a reality. The best thing is that it should be settled without any blood shed and with peace. What ever you call this province, it would still be part of Pakistan. Once the Bengalis wanted some facilities and they were denied and now see the result. People's will should prevail and blood shed should be avoided. This matter is not localized. This matter is not international and its echo is coming in international media and time is not far when many countries would enter this game and it is better that Pakistanis resolve this matter amicably and peacefully just like the matter of Seraiki Province, Hazara Province or for that matter any other province.

simple.. give due rights and funds to all people... karachi gives the most tax and it was only given iyts due share when there was local govt system.... only sindh has urban quota and rural quota :S:S:S:S.... while punjba being 70% of Pakistan still has one quota....

give teh adminitration of the coty to teh peopl eof the city not the sindh govt who come to power by votes from poor ppl under the influece of waderas and sardars...

im against the notion of naming province by ethnicity... we dont need muhajir provice .. or even sindh or pujban.. these names shud be mere nouns thats it..

what we need is local govt system in whole of paksitan and it will solve the problems

This is simply because they are not being given equal opportunities.

YOur literacy rate has gone up fro 10% in 1947 to 78% at Present
Your Per Capita Income has gone up from Rs 500 in 1947 to almost Rs 35000

Rest of Pakistan literacy has gone up from 5% in 1947 to 55% at present
rest of Pakistan per Capita Income has gone up from Rs 300 in 1947 to Rs 15000 at present

Count the colleges and Universities in Karachi as compared to rest of Pakistan, you will see the educational opportunities as compared to rest of Pakistan
Count the medical facilities in Karachi as compared to rest of Pakistan

The key is the rest of Pakistan's literacy rate has gone from 5% to 55%, because urdu speaking had all these opportunities and now there are lot more people especially from Punjab competing for these opportunities. These problems cropped up after late 70's. Do some research and you will find urdu speaking dominating in every field whiich was fine till literacy rate in Punjab caught up.

Remember litaracy rate of just Punjab is highest among the provinces hence the desparity.

Two points if I may

If Waderas and Sardars are elected by the poor, then do they not have a mandate just like MQM claims to have ? Why is a vote for MQM right and a vote for anyone else wrong ? I thought MQM was all for the will of the people, or do MQM want to be able to choose candidates for other parties. Democracy dictates that ALL have an EQUAL vote, and ALL are eligible for office. Like it or lump it, but it works as follows

One man one vote

Whether A Q Khan or the Village idiot,

Majority rules.

Secondly I agree with both your last 2 sentences, NO sooba business based on these notions of Mohajir or any other. SMALL Administrative units, hundreds of them, run locally for local residents has to be the FIRST level of Government, run by locally elected UNPAID Councillors, without priviledges and ceremony.

I agree with maksyed All Pakistani first and anything else after. If we all focused on that alone,

and let me quote Kennedy

"Ask not what your Country can do for you, but what you can do for your Country"

Mohajir is a delibrate division created by a handful to fool the people as per their divide and rule policy, loot the wealth and take it abroad to London to puppets rulers who work under the instructions of Mi6.

The answer to all the questions you posed in your question is simple and easy. No one denies the injustice BUT it is EVERYWHERE in Pakistan, in one form or the other.
I personally agree that there should be smaller administrative division but not on ethnic bases (BTW, I also completely support your view on renaming the existing provinces on non-ethnic names).

The only reason why I posted these graphs is to show how things are moving. Meaning when literacy rate goes up everything else fall in the right place. When people talk about discrimination, that is true for all of Pakistan.

I believe smaller units is the best option, we already have Divisions. Lets forget Provinces and call the Divisions as State and go from there. For this you need visionary leadership, unlike the present lot.

Muhajirs have been treated unfairly by the army and the Govt in Islamabad...so they deserve a separate province...it should be south sindh
