The Discovery of Manuscript in Birmingham

No Denovo Debate on the Word of God!

A few points are necessary to be kept in mind before commenting on discovery in the collection of the Cadbury Research Library at the University of Birmingham.

First of all the manuscript must be gone through by Muslim State nominated genuine Muslim scholars so as to be compared with the presently available Al Qur'an, which is available with almost every Muslim.

And this point is compulsorily to be understood that the presently available text of the Holy Qur'an is cardinal criterion for comparison and not any one else, for its the present one, which has 15 centuries consensus on its back!

So far the discovered manuscript is concerned, round about century before, Christians pastors and orientalists can be termed as the then paid NGOs and who were supposed to deprive the Muslims of their basic assets!

Many of them while looting Muslims libraries they had brought huge collections, in reference with the aforementioned collection, known as; 'Mingana Collection' comprised of huge amount of ancient books and manuscripts they had taken in their custody by hook or by crook.

This way, as per chance this manuscript, without realising its worth at that time was also either stolen or taken.
Nevertheless they didn't know its worth even after the passage of one full century!

It was in fact recently a lady PhD researcher Alba Fedeli who while searching out the collection in re of her research, this manuscript came to her hand out of luck and after realising its worth she then decided to make it part of her research about the ancient Manuscript.

It is also to be noted as was revealed thus far that this Manuscript is not complete copy of the Qu'an Sharif, it covers only three incomplete Surahs; 18-20!

This is worth mentioning that the Holy Manuscript of Holy Qur'an, which was under tilawat (reading) of 3rd Caliph, Zunn-ur-ain, Usman bin Affan (RA), while he was martyred in his house by the Kharijites and his blood fallen over the open Holy Qur'an and which was somehow reached and saved in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A photo copy of that Manuscript was also presented as gift to president Ayub Khan during his visit to Tashkent!

But the problem is, that Manuscript has also, as many others reduced to 1/3 of the Holy Qur'an and being so can't now be used as touchstone either for the purpose of any academic discussion or comparison.

The best way therefore is, the Holy Text of the Holy Qur'an, which has been saved in hearts of millions of Muslim Hufaz and which are present as hard copies in billions, one each Muslim at least as such is the Sacred Standard Text of the Holy Qur'an.

Because not a single Muslim has thus far raised any objection whatsoever over it and above all, all the Muslims have been believing in it since the first revelation till the last revelation, having been saved as such!

I meant to say, antiquity doesn't matter in case of Holy Qur'an, accuracy of contents does matter!

We are having centuries old firm faith, we don't have any need whatsoever to open denovo debate on the authenticity of the Word of God!

Fear is that if first of all only few verses of few Suras as available and if they find something which does not match with Standard Cairo version available normally people will question the authenticity of Quran itself.

Truth is that there are many versions of Quran, there is one from Sanaa, Yemen, which was was written around 50 or 60 years after the death of Prophet and it contain words and verses which were re arrange, re written, and without any Diacritical Marks etc and it could have different meanings, who knows what was meant and in which context.

This childish idea that only because people have memorized the entire Quran then its some how sign of its truth is ludicrous, its only meant that people have/had memorized only one version of it, does not negate the authenticity of any other version if in existence.
