Tesla Vehicles as Alt source of transport : worry sign GCC countries

I am delighted to see the update of Tesla smaller version of T3 model as compared to the original high performance Tesla costing over $80000 in previous years. This model is not only cheaper but has the same capacity of running in electric mode & or switching over to its hybrid engine for petrol in emergency mode.

For me to utilize a electric (ebike) as compared to a petrol driven moterbike, I have not only saved money on gas, parking, insurance & registeration but overall for bypassing petrol as source of energy I have saved on a monthly basis when compared to a car for same transport purposes average $600 per month. Saving that much money gives the owner that much more
lucrative options in any given month! Iiterally purchased a 2nd playstation.

Now for the T3 model, we have seen 115,000 advanced registerations worldwide by customers
already. If we analyse the bigger chunk out of the Gas powered driven cars in world, the figure means very little in terms of percentages. But it is still a good sign of electric driven cars ordered.

What does this mean to the GCC oil producing nations even solar powered systems?

Well for starters by the time this market will be penetrative to main car industry the technology will be super refined in terms of energy compliance efficient usage, also the oil driven cars will be reduced. People are waking up slowly to the alternative use of energy besides oil. This gives more options to those with a conscious of purchasing alt energy. For GCC countries it should be the starting point of troubled times ahead who only source of revenue income from oil exports.

Thread starter, can you please really show me how you've saved money, when the depreciation on a new car alone not makes its a point of saving money.

I'm guessing you're in the US, so why not buy a five year old 1.6 litre petrol or a diesel car, if you're only about saving money? Because Tesla can't beat that in terms of overall cost.

But if you can afford to lose $50,000 in depreciation of a new car, then saving $600 really is like pennies to you, and makes your whole point null.

So can you elaborate on it a bit more please?

I am a die hard supporter electronic vehicle, and Tesla has surpassed the expectations. The only downside is their high price. I wish them great luck, making cheap cars, yet quality cars.

Tesla model 3 costs only $35000 any there are several free charging points. Plus it is much more environment friendly. And if adapted on large scale can reduce a country's dependency on oil.

Actually I stated on original post I bought a e-bike, which is fraction of the cost of the Tesla car or any car!
Now I am 2 steps ahead by not even purchasing a car !
An ebike is low on electric charge, zero on car parking issues, zero on moterbike annual insurance, zero on petrol etc.
Therefore my statement for those who unable to drive moterbike or ebike or bicycle I rest my case & stick to $600 saving er month as owning any car!
Lets break it up:
$200 car insurance
$200 per month on car parking
$200 petrol on average
$100 or average on general maintainence
total $700 er month exactly savings in regards to any petrol vehicle(Apart from parking fees)
Simple.
