Tehrik-e-Insaf lashes out at Aitzaz Ahsan
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has said that the real face of senior jurist and Pakistan People’s Party leader Aitzaz Ahsan has been exposed in front of the nation.
Speaking exclusively to saach.tv, senior leader of PTI Umar Cheema said Thursday that Aitzaz Ahsan is supporting the current government to pursue his vested interests.
“The government got Aitzaz elected as a Senator because he toed their line against the judiciary,” Cheema said.
Earlier, Aitzaz Ahsan said that taking out ‘Tsunami’ march in order to oust Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani will be unconstitutional.
Aitzaz Ahsan said that any political march or sit-in, which is coercive in nature, constitutes violation of the country’s constitution.
Umar Cheema said that Aitzaz Ahsan used to be an ardent support of the judiciary during the lawyers’ movement; however, he is now standing with the corrupt and incompetent government against the country’s Supreme Court.
“The same Aitzaz Ahsan used to chant slogans and recite poems for the Chief Justice, but now he is part of the government’s efforts to ridicule the judiciary,” the PTI leader said.
