Politicians should leave the task of running the country to anchors so that they know what it takes to run a state. From the coziness of their air-conditioned studios, they love to negate anyone with millions of voters in its pocket just to appear larger than the life, get more ratings and amplify their paychecks. Talat Hussain has overvalued himself to a ridiculous level. Either you follow his vision or you are good for nothing. If he really means what he preaches — which is democracy — then he should respect the mandate a person has received on the basis of his vision. Or if Talat thinks that only he is the most intelligent person living in Pakistan, as we speak, then why he does not quit the job and form a party or join the one he thinks is the best? If he has the ultimate ideas to take the country forward, staying away from implementing those ideas will be a criminal act.
