Tableeghi Jamaat chief Maulana Tariq Jameel denies attack -
Renowned Islamic Scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel Tuesday denied media reports about attack on his car in Lahore. Section of the media has reported the head of the ‘Tableeghi Jamaat” has escaped a firing attack late on Monday.
The reports said that two unknown gunmen opened fire on Maulana’s car as he was on his way to Faisalabad, but luckily he remained unhurt in the attack. The gunmen fled after the incident, reports said.
He said there was no attack on his car and reports are baseless. Maulana Tariq Jameel is one of the most respected Islamic scholar in Pakistan and has millions of followers.
A former student of the King Edward Medical University in Lahore, he switched to Islamic Education from Jamia Arabia, Raiwind where he studied Quran, Hadith, Sharia, Tasawwuf, Logic And Fiqh.
