In an interview with Dale Gavlak, a Middle East correspondent for the Associated Press and Mint Press News, Syrian rebels tacitly implied that they were responsible for last weeks chemical attack. Some information could not immediately be independently verified.

From numerous interviews with doctors, Ghouta residents, rebel fighters and their families.many believe that certain rebels received chemical weapons via the Saudi intelligence chief, Prince Bandar bin Sultan, and were responsible for carrying out the (deadly) gas attack, he writes in the article.

The rebels noted it was a result of an accident caused by rebels mishandling chemical weapons provided to them.

My son came to me two weeks ago asking what I thought the weapons were that he had been asked to carry, said Abu Abdel-Moneim, the father of a rebel fighting to unseat Assad, who lives in Ghouta.

As Gavlak reports, Abdel-Moneim said his son and 12 other rebels died in a weapons storage tunnel. The father stated the weapons were provided to rebel forces by a Saudi militant, known as Abu Ayesha, describing them as having a tube-like structure while others were like a huge gas bottle.

They didnt tell us what these arms were or how to use them, complained a female fighter named K. We didnt know they were chemical weapons. We never imagined they were chemical weapons.

When Saudi Prince Bandar gives such weapons to people, he must give them to those who know how to handle and use them, she warned. She, like other Syrians, do not want to use their full names for fear of retribution.

Gavlak also refers to an article in the UKs Daily Telegraph about secret Russian-Saudi talks stating that Prince Bandar threatened Russian President Vladimir Putin with terror attacks at next years Winter Olympics in Sochi if Russia doesnt agree to change its stance on Syria.

Prince Bandar pledged to safeguard Russias naval base in Syria if the Assad regime is toppled, but he also hinted at Chechen terrorist attacks on Russias Winter Olympics in Sochi if there is no accord, the article stated.

I can give you a guarantee to protect the Winter Olympics next year. The Chechen groups that threaten the security of the games are controlled by us, Saudi Prince allegedly told Vladimir Putin.

Mint Press News stated that some of the information couldnt be independently verified and pledged to continue providing updates on this topic.

some people will accept it and some won't based on their sectarian affiliations. the fact of the matter remains that there are certain chemicals not considered to be chemical weapons by UN but if a friend uses them they are OK and if enemy uses them then it is called chemical weapons.

Its from a russian source so its authenticity can't be clear as well. But i have to say that the greatest Benificiaries of toppling Asaad government would be Israel(who have occupied some area inside Syria and are facing a fight back from Asaad) and US who because toppling Asaad(who is an ally of Iran and Russia) would mean that the rebels(who are pro US and Isreal) will come to power.

The basic investigative tools in criminology is to determine who had most to gain from the crime. In case of Syria, it is clear that it is the rebel thugs who are the main beneficiaries. So Russia/ Syria may not be lying when they say that it was the work of opposition fighters. Moreover, Assad will not use gas in the city where he, his relatives, his army and his functionaries live.

I am pretty vocally against Bashar Al Assad and all middle east dictators for that matter however personally I seriously doubt that Bashar used chemical weapons on Syrians.

He is an embattled man stuck in a vicious civil war and the last thing he needs is outside forces directly targeting his military capabilities with which he is fighting the rebels.

So why would he provide the smoking gun to the Americans to launch an attack against him in such a crucial time?

The only people who benefit from an attack on him are the rebels.

Everyone can draw their own conclusions.

As for the Saudis, they arent helping the rebels out of any love for their Sunni brethren. They are just being lapdogs of the West trying to achieve the goals set upon them by their puppet masters. They have been promised more control of the region in return for doing their masters' bidding.

i think i am not naive as you are. People like us are emotional when name comes of Saudis. I can easily proof all **** that is happening on muslims is due to KSA. When it comes about killing of muslim in kashmir. Palestine Iraq Afganistan you will not see any role of KSA and as soon as the matter is about Iran or syria KSA becomes active.
